WATER PROOFING

Waterproofing plays a crucial role in building construction, requiring an understanding of the construction process, structural elements, joints, material chemistry, and design factors. Simply filling visible cracks or applying generic chemicals is inadequate to prevent water ingress into the structure. More comprehensive measures are necessary to ensure effective waterproofing.

WHAT WE DO ?

With a profound association with the construction industry, we have recognized water as the primary cause of structural damage. Our expertise lies in waterproofing, where we employ diverse methods and materials, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach.

Specializing in treating plain walls, our systems have consistently outperformed others in challenging situations. From basement to rooftop, we cover the entire building, with a particular focus on exterior wall surfaces. Our unique treatment systems ensure long-lasting performance.

As Structural Waterproofing specialists, our services encompass three main areas: executing waterproofing jobs, formulating and trading waterproofing materials, and providing consultation to address waterproofing issues. We follow a systematic, phased operation to carry out waterproofing jobs, studying leakage problems and determining suitable methodologies and materials.

Our formulated chemicals, including M.M. Stone Polymer and Xailexcon, along with products like ‘Crack fill’ fibers, are available to other independent waterproofing contractors. We also engage in trading locally manufactured or imported materials.

For leakage problems, we analyze and recommend suitable methodologies and products, offering supervision if required. Additionally, we provide comprehensive consultation for fixing Asphalt Shingles on Chajjas or canopies.

Our mission is to deliver cost-effective, reliable, and enduring solutions to leakage problems promptly, spreading positive energy in every project we undertake.

SEALROOF PROCESS

While our waterproofing method may be complex, we offer three options to cater to our customer’s needs and budget, varying in specifications. Buildings earmarked for redevelopment in the near future may not require expensive options, especially with the unique design created on dead walls.

It’s crucial to grasp that waterproofing a building cannot be executed in patches or localized areas where leaks are visible. To be effective, it must cover the entire building; otherwise, it becomes a waste of money, time, and a source of frustration.

Typically, the process involves cleaning the surface with a high-pressure water jet, cutting and filling cracks with specialized mortar, covering metal insertions, and coating the entire surface with ‘Xailexcon.’ Subsequently, the surface receives three coats of our specialized composite material made from M.M. Stone Polymer, proprietary chemicals (SK027, DM054), white sand, and cement. The application is done by brush or trowel, with on-site mixing based on specific requirements. The final step involves painting the surface in the desired shade.

Additional work, such as relocating pipes, PCM treatment on damaged RCC members, and re-plastering in patches, may be performed before the main treatment. A unique treatment is applied to large uninterrupted plain surfaces of dead walls exposed to constant thermal variations, preventing easy cracking and ensuring long-lasting performance. Our waterproofing system is particularly effective after major repairs, addressing joints formed during patching-up.

  1. The “Seal roof” Process is of permanent nature and once done will not need attendance for a long time.
  2. The “Seal roof” process being of permanent nature is cheap in the long run-though initially slight costly, as it does not require maintenance viz. Periodic repair and/or replacement after a period.
  3. The “Seal roof” treatment is covered with guarantee of ten years from date of completion against any defect inadvertently left out by the workers.
  4. The “Seal roof” treatment based on cement can withstand the same temperature as the R.C.C. structure in metal foundries, steel plants and re-rolling mills etc.
  5. The “Seal roof” treatment is a non-conductor of heat unlike bit mastic treatment. So the terraces treated with our “Seal roof” treatment tend to keep the areas below comparatively cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
  6. If however a decorative surface is desired on it. Since it is finished in cement, it can also take that.
  7. The “Seal roof” Process on terrace or other horizontal surfaces provides a hard and tough surface suitable for all normal domestic purposes. Since it is sufficiently strong, it does not need any further protective layer.
  8. The “Seal roof” surface on the wall can be painted in pleasing colors with any kind of paint.
  9. The “Seal roof” treated terrace can be converted into a beautiful lawn and/or a garden.

We propose to treat the U/G Structure by our ‘Box Method’ For this we would require 150mm (6′) thick layer of cement concrete (1:3:6) P.C.C. using metal upto No 2 laid even with smooth surface with wooden trowels by the owners on well compacted soil or rubble soling or plain concrete.

With over 23 years of excellence, M/s FATIMA INTERIOR SOLUTION PVT LTD stands as a symbol of global standards, pioneering the way in Thermal Insulation for Hotels, Commercial Projects, and technology parks that rival the best in the world.

Thermal insulation plays a crucial role in reducing the effects of heat transfer between objects or within the range of radioactive influence. Heat, being the transfer of thermal energy between objects of varying temperatures, requires effective measures to control its flow. This can involve specially engineered methods, processes, and the use of suitable static objects and materials.

In the realm of building construction, insulating materials are quantitatively measured by their insulating capability, often referred to as the R-value. The calculation of these requirements involves considering various factors, including industry standards that have evolved over the years, balancing conflicting goals such as cost, climate, building practices, and comfort standards.

For large industrial applications, heat transfer and layer analysis are performed, while in household situations like appliances and building insulation, achieving air-tightness is crucial to reduce heat transfer due to air leakage, whether forced or natural convection. Once air-tightness is established, selecting the appropriate thickness of the insulating layer is often based on practical rules of thumb, as diminishing returns are observed with each successive doubling of the insulating layer. Certain systems may even have a minimum insulation thickness requirement for noticeable improvements.

Buildings & Hotels:-
The application of thermal insulation in hotel buildings is a crucial aspect of energy efficiency and overall occupant comfort. Maintaining acceptable temperatures through heating and cooling represents a significant portion of global energy consumption. Proper insulation offers several advantages:

Energy Efficiency: Well-insulated hotel buildings are energy-efficient, leading to cost savings for the owner.

Temperature Uniformity: Insulation helps maintain more uniform temperatures throughout the space, reducing temperature gradients both vertically and horizontally. This creates a more comfortable environment for occupants, especially in extreme cold or hot weather.

Minimal Recurring Expense: Unlike heating and cooling equipment, insulation is a permanent solution that does not require regular maintenance, upkeep, or adjustments.

Noise and Vibration Reduction: Many forms of thermal insulation also contribute to reducing noise and vibration from external sources and other rooms within the building, enhancing overall comfort.

In addition to these benefits, pipe insulation is essential for maintaining the temperature of pipes carrying heated or cooled fluids. Window insulation film can be applied for weatherization purposes, reducing thermal radiation in summer and heat loss in winter.

Implementing thermal insulation is a challenging task that requires careful supervision and proper training during installation. It is crucial to select the right materials for the intended purpose, and any mistakes in this process can lead to ineffective insulation. Proper training, often provided by the supplier of insulation materials, is essential for the successful installation of thermal insulation.

M/s FATIMA INTERIOR SOLUTION PVT LTD is proud to be a dealer and partner of Aisladecx AL, a world-class product for thermal insulation. The company has successfully carried out thermal insulation projects, including notable clients like ITC GRAND MARATHA HOTEL, showcasing its commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
